Position overview:

The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) will work in conjunction with the Sales Territory Manager, Customer Care and Managed Care staff in order to meet the clinical needs in their territory for the purpose of increasing referrals and sustaining patients on product.

 

JOB / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (Listed in order of importance)

  • CSM evaluates and recommends Certified Pod Trainers (CPTs) and Super CPTs who wish to become consultant CPTs for Insulet Corporation.
  •  CSM assigns patient trainings to CPTs or conducts patient training based on business needs of territory, overall costs of training and timeliness of training
  • CSM works in conjunction with Sales, Customer Care and Managed Care to achieve sales goals
  • Promotes the benefits of insulin pump therapy and sells OmniPod Insulin Management System to providers and patients in group and/or individual sessions or as a continuing education offering
  • Assist with providing regular product demos to patients and HCPs
  • Assist with sales events such as pump clinics, pump support groups, info sessions, in-the-office educational events, patient info nights, JDRF walks, vendor days, ECT.
  • Support Top Twenty Accounts and existing accounts and record calls in Salesforce
  • Oversee CPTs by seeing them face-to-face and by providing timely product updates and by being a clinical resource
  • Ability to perform administrative duties and turn in on a timely basis. 
  • Assist with product training for Sales and Clinical hires
  • Provide Field Feedback to Manager on field based training of customers and HCPs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge / Education

  • The CSM must be a licensed healthcare professional and a Certified Diabetes Educator.

  • The CSM should have credibility and contacts within the diabetes community.

Job Experience

  • Minimum of two years experience training and/or managing pump patients

Skills / Competencies

  • The CSM should have strong skills in the following areas: 
    1.) Giving presentations
    2.) Interpersonal communications both oral and written
    3.)  Use of computers. 

  • The CSM should be a self-starter who needs minimal direction but should also work well as a member of the commercial team. 

  • The CSM needs to be extremely flexible and have a moderate level of business acumen. 

Physical / Other Requirements

  • The work environment will be the HCPs offices, clinics, home office and car.  Some lifting (up to 50 pounds) may be required when sending or receiving shipments, in handling samples, supplies or literature, and transport of laptop computer. 
    The position will require frequent travel (up to 75%) mostly by car within a set geographic region.
