Human Resource Administrator

 

Position overview:

Insulet Corporation is an innovative medical device company dedicated to improving the lives of people with diabetes. The Company's OmniPod Insulin Management System is a revolutionary, discreet and easy-to-use insulin infusion system that features two easy-to-use parts with no tubing and fully-automated cannula insertion. Through the OmniPod System, Insulet seeks to expand the use of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) therapy among people with insulin-dependent diabetes. Founded in 2000, Insulet is based in Bedford, MA.

 

Our Human Resource Administrator will provides administrative and project support for the HR function. In this role, duties will cover a wide range of support tasks in the areas of benefits, compensation, HRIS, employee correspondence, orientation, recruiting, personnel files and records, and other HR areas. The HR Administrator will also interface with employees at all levels as well as HR vendors and external partners.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as first point-of-contact resource for HR information to Insulet's employee base.
  • Prepares employee life cycle materials including offer letters, new hire packets and termination letters and packages.
  • Maintains Insulet's HR database and personnel files for organization in compliance with our business needs and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists recruiting by posting jobs to website/other, managing resume database and scheduling candidates. May also assist with candidate phone screens and reference checks.
  • Conducts pre-employment eligibility and background checks.
  • Generates notifications for employee/contractor changes on hire, transfer/change, exit
  • Responds to verification of employment or benefits requests consistent with company practice.
  • Maintains and distributes regular HR reports such as headcount and recruitment reports as well as organizational charts; maintains contractor spreadsheet and NDAs
  • Schedules new hire orientation, prepares materials and organize presenter schedules
  • Assists other internal teams in coordinating delivery of required employee training
  • Manages HR calendar activities, including scheduling meetings
  • Manages Magic Pro communications boards and messaging
  • Prepares employee communications materials for benefits, orientation and other projects
  • Manage purchase orders and expense tracking for HR budget.
  • Assist with office management duties for headquarters site.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience in a business environment, with BA/BS degree or equivalent desired. Prior experience in an HR support role is required.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs with good skill level, experience with documents, spreadsheets/workbooks and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with employees at all levels; must have comfort level and sensitivity to deal with confidential information, documentation and sensitive information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with focus on creating professional work output.
