Senior Systems Manager, Supply Chain/Finance Systems

 

JOB / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct the development and operation of IT Supply Chain and Financial Systems with an overall focus on improving adoption of technology and strengthening Supply Chain and Financial organizational capabilities and processes. Focus IT resources to deliver value added services in the areas of Quality, Manufacturing, Financial Planning and Reporting. Partner with other functional areas within IT to ensure that high priority programs are delivered on time, on budget, and with stakeholder satisfaction. Directly manage select programs on an as needed basis.

  • Manage key strategic Supply Chain and Finance techhnology programs on an as needed basis. Staff these programs with appropriate internal and vendor resources, ensure that they have clear and consistent goals, scope, and objectives, and that they follow established processes for execution. Also ensure clear and timely communication of program status with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Research and identify key new technologies that will advance Supply Chain and Finance capabilities and improve organizational efficiency.
  • Represent the technology organization as the primary point of contact with business partners. Take accountability for all technology related issues and opportunities and address them thru the engagement and support of the larger IT organization.
  • Identify and report appropriate measures of project and service performance, both at a strategic and operational level. Engage members of the organization in defining appropriate metrics, enable visibility to metrics through process implementation/improvement and through dashboard reporting.
  • Prepare annual plans and budgets for the organization. Plan and budget the resources required to implement programs including personnel, equipment, outside services, software packages and supplies.
  • Manage resources including objective setting, performance appraisal, salary administration, affirmative action, training, recruiting, and career path planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge / Education

  • BS in Computer Science or related field. MBA preferred.

Job Experience

  • 15 years of progressive leadership experience in a technology organization. Experience in working in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Supply Chain and Finance functional areas.

Skills / Competencies

  • Project/Program Management.
  • Vendor management.
  • Communication (oral & written).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Relationship building.
  • Business process redesign.
