Warranty: Under the terms of this agreement, the warranty period for this Starter Kit will be the longer of: two years from your date of purchase from Insulet, or the remainder of your existing insulin pump warranty, not to exceed four years from your date of purchase from Insulet. The warranty period set forth in this offer supersedes the four year limited PDM warranty found in the User Guide.

1. The Pod has a waterproof IPX8 rating for up to 25 feet for 60 minutes. The PDM is not waterproof.
2. Watertight equipment, IPX8 (protected against the effects of submersion, tested at 12 feet for 24 hours); if you are a frequent swimmer, you should change your battery cap every 3 months. The OneTouch® Ping® meter-remote is not waterproof.
3. In a clinical study, disconnecting a tubed pump caused blood glucose levels to rise 1 mg/dL for each minute insulin infusion was interrupted. Diabetes Care, 31 (2) Feb 2008; 238-239.
