Insulet’s highly-credentialed clinical team strives to provide the best-possible support to patients and providers. To take our team’s skill set to the next level, we have partnered with the Joslin Diabetes Center to establish the Advanced Diabetes Educators in Pump Therapy (ADEPT™) certification program. The ADEPT™ certification program ensures that our clinicians are up to date on the latest diabetes standards of care, research, and other topics relevant to the current diabetes environment.
About the ADEPT™ Certification Program
What is the ADEPT™ certification process?
The ADEPT™ program emphasizes a complete approach to care, including psychosocial, pharmacologic and nutritional therapies. The certification process for clinicians includes:
- Intensive, multi-day continuing education sessions covering advanced initiation and management of insulin pump patients, led by world-renowned specialists at Joslin Diabetes Center
- Ongoing web-based education and training to keep clinicians cognizant of current diabetes treatment
- Valid ADEPT™ certification for 3 years following successful course completion with the requirement that clinicians continue to complete mandatory study hours
What does ADEPT™ mean for your patients?

Meet our Medical Director
Trang Ly, MD, PhD
Senior Vice President and Medical Director
Dr. Trang Ly serves as Senior Vice President and Medical Director at Insulet Corporation. Dr. Ly is a leading expert in artificial pancreas and diabetes technologies and leads the Omnipod Horizon™ Automated Glucose Control clinical program. Most recently, she served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to her time at Stanford, Dr. Ly was a Pediatric Endocrinologist in the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth, Australia. Dr. Ly holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and a PhD in Pediatrics from the University of Western Australia. She is also a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, with specialist qualification in Pediatric Endocrinology.
