The Omnipod DASH™ Insulin Management System has broad access including pharmacy availability. In fact DASH™ is covered under most private insurance companies. When you submit your health insurance information, we’ll contact your insurance provider(s) to determine your benefits. We will then contact you to review your benefits before fulfilling your order. The Omnipod DASH™ System is the only full-featured insulin management system available through the pharmacy channel.
Benefits of the pharmacy channel include:
- Typically quicker turnaround times, so patients can get started on therapy faster
- The Omnipod DASH™ Personal Diabetes Manager, provided at no charge with the first box of Pods, may eliminate high start-up costs
- Patients just pay a monthly co-pay as they go
Pharmacy Coverage for the Omnipod DASH™ Insulin Management System
The pharmacy channel offers simplified access to DASH™. To receive DASH™ through your pharmacy benefit, your health care provider will need to submit a prescription, which allows you to receive your Pods just like you receive your insulin.

The Pod has a waterproof IPX8 rating for up to 25 feet for 60 minutes. The Personal Diabetes Manager is not waterproof.
